Woke Disney has bowed to its Chinese overlords and sent a Simpsons episode down the memory hole because it calls out China’s forced labor camps and its mass enslavement of its Uyghur minorities.
The episode was removed from streaming overseas because of a single line, according to Politico.
The episode — first shown in October last year and titled “One Angry Lisa” — features a scene in which Marge Simpson takes a virtual exercise bike class with an instructor in front of a virtual background of the Great Wall of China. The instructor says: “Behold the wonders of China. Bitcoin mines, forced labor camps where children make smartphones, and romance.

This is not the first time that Disney has cowered in the face of communist China’s complaints.
In 2021, the company removed another Simpson’s episode that mentioned the Tiananmen Square massacre of 1989.
