El Diablo may be cunning, but there are only so many plays in his playbook. The same tricks he pulls today were tried back in the early church. Here’s how the Aposles beat him.
When we watch what the Enemy has tried before (and how it was handled) we can take notes for our own lives and duck the disaster he tries to lure us into.
Things are rolling along nicely for the Apostles. Miracles. Riots. Prison. Powerful people put in their places. Shady shysters dropping dead for trying to deceive the Holy Spirit. Fear of God brings life to the Church and the places of worship where people gather for the Apostles’ teaching, breaking of bread and prayer is packed out.
What could possibly go wrong? Well, if he can’t trip us up with the big things like riots, threats, and prison, he’ll hit you with the small things and try to bust up the unity that makes us strong. How does he do it? And what is the solution?
When you see it, it’s gonna look awfully familiar.
Some of you might even see cases where what you convinced yourself was ‘righteous indignation’ was actually something else entirely.
Once you know what you’re looking for it’s a lot easier to spot the Enemy’s handiwork.
And if you can spot it, you can stop it before the situation gets out of hand. Most of us who have called ourselves Christian for any length of time can think of at least one example (probably more) of a church that wishes they’d heard exactly this warning years and years ago.
Be sure to share it with someone who needs it. You could be helping someone avoid disaster.
The PERFECT Gift For The Art Loving Warrior

Dear Fellow Warriors: My new book just dropped, GILES VOL. I: The Biblical Warrior Collection. It’s a full color coffee table compilation of my biblical paintings over the last 20yrs. As you know, I don’t depict the biblical men in this book as sweet bearded women but rough troublemakers who shook all of hell’s habitations. It’s a great gift for the male and female scrappy warriors on your Christmas list. Young kids will love it too. 70+ original paintings. 234 pages with the scriptural inspiration behind each painting. It’s a beautiful book.
RECOMMENDATIONS. “One reason I buy Doug’s priceless art is to make bold statements on the walls of my home. Lively discussions come alive to bring home the Gospel messages behind the brushstrokes gifted to Mr. Giles. Pastor Doug’s creativity in canvassing the Biblical perspective is daring and courageous.”
