Dems have been ramping up their rhetoric against Elon lately. His new on-paper net work after the IPO of SpaceX is just the tip of the iceberg.
Now they’re threatening to bring the full weight of government against him — personally — if they take back the gavel. They’re BIG mad about USAID.
Ro Khanna is tip of the spear on the angry rhetoric, threatening a crusade against Elon. And Musk is sick of the defamatory sniping for political gain. Elon said he was going to sue over it.
What’s interesting is what — exactly — has the left’s knickers in a twist. It’s not the IPO that tilted him into the world’s first trillionaire status.
They’re predicating their accusations on his work with… DOGE. Let’s remember what the entire point of DOGE was, shall we? With yearly interest payments on outstanding US debt already exceeding the entire budget of many of our federal departments, and spending far outstripping intake, it seemed reasonable that we finally take action on finding those ‘waste fraud and abuse’ efficiencies we’ve been talking about solving for decades.
And didn’t they all squeal when we found so many millions and billions of waste? Either it wasn’t wasteful, (even if it was duplicated spending), or it performed some essential service. Especially the NGO money and the slush funds to other nations dressed up as USAID spending.
Ro Khanna made wild claims about spectacular body counts for which Elon’s cuts will be directly responsible, which is why Elon was talking about a defamation suit. Khanna’s open threats of using the tools of government to run Elon — personally — though the wringer probably didn’t help either.
Why would they care so much about USAID? Because USAID isn’t REALLY about the Aid, is it?

Data Republican published a very detailed post that shows how the two are connected. It shows a case study of how American dollars funded a Color Revolution in the former Soviet satellite state of Georgia, and more importantly it shows how that same formula is hard at work pushing revolution here at home. It’s worth clicking and reading in full

NGO slush fund money is the bread and butter of the hard left’s communist revolution. And DOGE has initiated an accountability process and has started turning off those taps to their bottomless funding.
How DARE he!
The hard left can’t create any public outrage if they were honest about their real complaint: a moaning session about losing access to tax dollars in funding their revolution. So they’ll do what they always do. Create a victim class, declare themselves the white knights of that victim class, and use that victim class as a cudgel to force taxpayers to bend the knee to their demands.
Unfortunately for the left, many of us have long since wised up to that playbook. As evidenced by the task force we’ve dedicated to finding frauds who have been robbing the taxpayers blind.
Funny how the same party has fought tooth and nail to protect those frauds from real consequences, too!
