Not a single Conservative was surprised by ‘revelations’ of Biden-era debunking of Conservative enemies. This is the same crowd that called George Washington’s own flag a ‘hate’ symbol. But it underscores the seriousness of the coming elections.
Especially, as you will see at the end of this article, how one of the favourites to win the left’s next Dem presidential primaries has leaned on banks in the past. (I’m referring, of course, to ‘AOC’.)
After Trump directed an assessment on whether banks discriminated against users based explicitly on the basis of what are supposed to bow constitutionally-protected categories of religious, political, or social views, the nine largest banks have been reviewed. To borrow a line from scripture: they were weighed in the balance and found wanting.
This was no fly-by-night lightweight project, either. Findings came from looking into more than 100,000 specific complaints. That means, more than 420,000 pages of evidence from 50k individual documents. And the results are conclusive.
The process was politicized. For the duration of Biden’s tenure, ALL NINE banks had polices that unlawfully discriminated on the basis of politics, religion, or politically disfavoured lawful business activities.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today released a report of its findings from its supervisory review of debanking activities at the nine largest national banks it supervises: JPMorgan Chase Bank, Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo Bank, U.S. Bank, Capital One, PNC Bank, TD Bank, and BMO Bank.
The OCC conducted its supervisory review in accordance with the President’s Executive Order, “Guaranteeing Fair Access to Banking for All Americans,” to determine whether these banks’ policies or practices may have required, encouraged, or otherwise influenced banks to deny or limit access to financial services to Americans because of their political or religious beliefs or lawful business activities. The OCC’s findings show that, between 2020 and September 2025, all nine banks had such policies.
“Today’s report provides irrefutable evidence that the nation’s largest banks have denied, debanked and discriminated against customers and lawful businesses,” said Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan V. Gould. “Americans should have access to financial services regardless of their beliefs, affiliations, or political views. Fair access to financial services is not a mantra—it is a mandate. The Trump Administration is committed to ending the weaponization of finance against hardworking Americans, once and for all.”
In the report, the OCC found that broad reputation risk policies—which lacked clear standards and objective, risk-based criteria—disadvantaged certain Americans based on their political, religious, or social views or based on their lawful business activities. The OCC also found that banks maintained public and nonpublic policies restricting certain industry sectors’ access to financial services, including those in oil and gas exploration, coal mining or coal-powered plants, firearms or ammunition manufacturing or distribution, construction or operation of detention facilities, the manufacturing, distribution or online retail of tobacco or e-cigarettes, and digital asset activities. — Office Comptroller of Currency
It might be tempting to celebrate as a win the rollback of such policies.
That is a mistake. Such approaches are a FEATURE of the left putting its jackboot on the neck of a population, not a ‘bug’.
If you think it won’t happen again the second the left gets their hands back on the levers of power, you simply are NOT paying attention.
What did Justin Trudeau do when protesting Truckers made life a little too uncomfortable for him? They suspended all of their rights as free citizens (in a way that was later deemed unlawful), froze bank accounts and seized assets.
They criminalized dissent.
There are already many bold bosts by the left about all of the vicious payback they plan to visit upon the political right. All of the people they plan to impeach. (As though we have forgotten how Schumer sandbagged the Mayorkis impeachment.) All of the criminal investigations into friends, families, and appointees of the Trump administration. This looks an awful lot like an attempt to strike fear into the heart of anyone who ever DARES to consider accepting a Republican appointment for any future position … ever.
We remember the left’s cheering when Silicon Valley coordinated to unperson a sitting President in the final days of his first term. We remember how alternatives like Parler that dared to give Trump a platform from which he could speak were themselves the targets of vicious attack. If the reputation damage wasn’t sufficient, the infrastructure on which they built their businesses would be choked off.
Here’s a story from 2018 that serves as one small example of the process:
LifeSite, a Christian pro-life news outlet, says its web-hosting company threatened to shut down their site Saturday.
“LifeSite just received an email at 8:30 p.m. EST from our web-hosting company alerting us that they will be taking our website down within 12 hours, if not sooner,” the organization said in a statement Saturday.
LifeSite says it received “absolutely no forewarning” about this decision, forcing the group to scramble to find a solution. — CBN (October 2018)
Conservative websites fell like dominoes. Those that survived were completely hamstrung by dirty tricks from the big players in Silicone Valley. And that was just the beginning.
Tactics that were first tested out on an easy target like Infowars were applied to a wider and wider net of political targets who just HAPPENED to have opinions hostile to the activist class.
And then Congress got in on it. Remember when AOC was using her Congressional oversight power to put the squeeze on banks having perfectly legal relationships with businesses she found distasteful?
You can DISLIKE private ownership of buildings used to hold convicted felons. You can DISLIKE gun companies. But such a private opinion does not give someone in congress any right to INFRINGE on legal business transactions… or to lean on any company who participates in them.
Checks on power have never been a deterrent to the activist left, any more than clear SCOTUS rulings about limits on Biden’s authority were during the COVID era.
How Does AOC fit into this story?
She was trained by Teddy Kennedy, who (besides leaving his girlfriend to drown in a river) backchanneled with the KGB in an effort to help take down Reagan’s 1984 re-election bid. (see: Forbes) He knew a thing or two about being subversive, and wasn’t shy about it.
AOC is no ordinary Democrat. She’s the hard-left edge of her party (or was, until it went even further left than she had been). She openly lamented being in the same party as Joe Biden… right up until the moment he brought the DSA into the tent in an exchange for political power. Bernie was given chairmanship over the Senate Budget Committee and the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions portfolio. If you don’t like how either of those were handled in the Biden era, you can lay at least part of the blame on Bernie’s feet.
For all the aggressive promises the DSA is making to rip apart the fabric of the Constitution — including the abolition of the Senate, (can you imagine!), stacking the courts, and a thousand other indignities that call to mind the ‘If you can keep it’ line by Ben Franklin, there are other, more subtle ways she has been working to undermine the rights of a citizen who dares to dissent from her approved priorities.

That was March in her first year as a Congresswoman. Next, just 2 days before Independence Day 2019, as just a wet-behind-the-ears Congresswoman, she’s coming in with white-hot ambition. She is bullying banks into EXACTLY the kind of politically-aligned corporate compliance we saw her Democrats demand from banks in the report above.
With Activists Systematically Suppressing Political Views, Do POLITICAL Rights Need Protecting?
That headline aged like a fine wine.
Our political rights DO need protecting, and the Dangerous Concentration of Power that is really a risk to the ordinary person is NOT, as claimed one Donald J Trump (who himself was deplatformed in a literal corporate conspiracy to silence Free Speech rights they deemed ‘too dangerous’ (Is Hasan Piker still on the internet? Or Louis Farrakhan who once called for 10,000 fearless men to rise up and kill… ?)
Nah, Trump has the dangerous words. And AOC will protect you from them.
By telling you who you can do business with, which opinions are permissible, and which religious views are beyond the pale.
If past is prologue, the crackdown will fall on ISIS-praising jihadi simps from America. Or on subversive who see the West as a nation to be conquered in the service of a hostile foreign worldview.
Nope. The real threat to be protected from is homeschoolers, Christians, or anyone who might suggest a little too loudly that maybe the girls locker room is NOT a reasonable place for a swinging Johnson.
