Uttering all of the left’s favorite shibboleths about ‘saving democracy’, a long-time CNN staffer is running to be Congressman in a NY swing district.
He is one of the founding members of ‘No Labels’ (which should give a clue about the REAL priorities of that organization), and he has swapped his CNN gig for a run at a Congressional seat.
Can you guess which party he’s running for? The fact that he kept his job through the Trump years should be a significant clue. That’s right. He’s a Democrat.
Do you know the name John Avlon?

Even the picture won’t be enough for some people, especially since they began actively chasing away all but the most rabid Dems and Never-Trumpers a few years ago.
Avlon has worked as a senior political analyst and anchor at the network since Jan. 2010, according to his LinkedIn account. He previously worked as editor-in-chief and managing director of The Daily Beast.
His colleagues Poppy Harlow and Phil Mattingly said their goodbyes Friday, during a segment of “CNN This Morning” while noting that Avlon would return occasionally as a guest. — DailyCaller

What’s the big urgency of him rushing off to ‘save democracy’? What makes HIM so special?
“I believe the United States is the greatest democracy the world has ever known. But right now, our democracy is in danger,” the former news anchor said in the video. “This election is not a drill. It’s up to all of us to step up and get off the sidelines. And that’s why I’m running for Congress, in New York’s first district. There’s just too much at stake for the country and the community that I love.”
“We need to build the broadest possible coalition to defeat Donald Trump, defend our democracy and win back the House from his MAGA minions who don’t even seem interested in solving problems anymore,” he added.
Avlon also vowed to focus on rebuilding the middle class, investing in infrastructure, protecting women’s reproductive rights and combatting climate change. — WETM Elmira
It’s pretty much an off-the-rack talking point any New York AOC wannabe could rattle off in their sleep.
The bigger question is, why are so many news outlets supposedly at war with ‘disinformation’ stuffed to the gills with censorious authoritarian hard-left Democrats?
If they can answer that question, maybe they can figure out why the public has long since stopped trusting them as a reliable source of information.
