Elected Dems aren’t interested in offering a vision of America that will outshine any alternative. They are already promising weaponize their ‘oversight’ capabilities to terrify any honest civilian from accepting a role in the Trump administration.
Pretty naked Brownshirt tactics from a party that LOVES to call out everyone they disagree with as some flavour of ‘totalitarian’ — usually NAZI.
But let’s see what SENATOR Elissa Slotkin (Michigan) has to say about using her political authority as a public servant for ALL citizens.
“I want to look at these signature cases and not just focus on the president, but on the people who enabled him. I want young people coming out of school to say, ‘Should I go work for the Trump administration?’ Like, ‘That sounds fun. I might get an opportunity.’ I want them to be like, ‘Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don’t want. And so, let me avoid participating in that. I want that deterrence message sent.’”
How twisted do you need to be when your own people become the ‘enemy’ against whom you turn the significant powers of the State? By her own words, she’s more interested in the ‘chilling’ effect that making life a nightmare for the accused would be than any moral justification or possibility of conviction. Kinda like when people who did nothing more than stand on the grass outside the Capitol, wondering what was going on inside had their lives ruined by criminal allegations that long after it mattered were eventually thrown out of court.
The Process IS the Punishment, and the pain is the point. Complex questions of justice, like the ones John Adams would wrestle with in light of the Boston Massacre don’t matter a damn to such people. They only care about helping or hurting the ‘right’ people.
Here’s the clip in question:
ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics.

Did we mention she was CIA? That figures, doesn’t it?
And for those of our readers who are sticklers about the full context, we have that for you as well.
Picking up on a question at the 31:55 mark where the interviewer is asking if Dem wins in the House and Senate could lead to Trump’s impeachment (he’s clearly hoping for a ‘yes’ answer) on ‘corruption’ claims, they make the usual tired reference to J6, with nary a mention of, say the Dems closing ranks to protect Mayorkis (who WAS impeached!), Comey, Andrew McCabe and others from consequences.
They’re at it again. Here come the same leftwing flunkies who conspired against citizens for political gain with such spectacles as Crossfire Hurricane, the Laptop From Hell, Hiding Burisma Corruption, Mar-A-Lago raids, Mostly Peaceful protests, hiding Biden’s near-vegetative state, giving Dems a pass on installing Kamala as successor, and excusing even the most heinous of crimes in knee-jerk antipathy to ICE, justified or not.
They gnash their teeth at Trump’s administration claiming HE is corrupt in the same week that we hear Jack Smith hoovered up the name of any Republican that gave a single dollar to a Trump campaign. What possible need did he have of the personal information of so many Americans — defying the entire point of the secret ballot and freedom of association?
In plain language, Jack Smith — under Biden — was making an enemies list. Very Gestapo of him. Or Stalinist. Or Stasi. Or Maoist. Take your pick of what totalitarian role model he was aping. There are many possibilities. What they have in common is the belief that only THEIR group should wield power. And all rivals need to be crushed.
Slotkin is yet one more piece of evidence that their totalitarian tendencies are NOT ‘fringe’ or ‘outliers’. They have been incorporated into the win-at-all-costs-to-hell-with-what-the-citzen-thinks bareknuckle politics.
To embrace that attitude is to reject the core principle of the Consent of the Governed. Politics, for such people, has devolved to a vehicle of personal power, not of public service… and they are the precise people America’s system of checks and balances were designed to protect the citizen against.
