Up next, the wokening of Bambi: Disney is at it again, giving a woke spin to one of its own classics to ruin it for a new generation.
Disney is apparently set to erase the whole “hunter killed Bambi’s mom” part of the theme in its new imagining of the classic Bambi story.
Writer Lindsey Anderson Beer, who is undertaking the writing of the coming movie, says that the plot point is too intense for today’s “more sensitive” generation.
Today’s audiences might have a problem dealing with the idea that some hunter shot and killed Bambi’s mommy, Beer said.
“Not to spoil the plot, but there’s a treatment of the mom dying that I think some kids, some parents these days are more sensitive about than they were in the past,” she told entertainment website Collider in a recent interview.
“I do think there is a way to update Bambi and our take on it was… did give a little bit more of a scope to it,” she said. “And I just think that to be able to bring it to life for kids these days in a way that maybe they relate to a little bit more would be of service to the original.”
You hear that Generation Zers and later generations?
You are all too “sensitive” and weak of spine to withstand a deer dying in a movie.
Wimps.
The original Bambi came out in 1942.
A year after millions of kids and mothers were already fearing the deaths of their fathers and husbands in World War Two.
So, I think kids and families back then had it juuuuust a bit tougher than you people.
Nut up, Generation Z.
