Texas Gov. Abbott Will Pardon Man Who Was Convicted by Rogue Soros-Paid Prosecutor for Defending Himself

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has promised to pardon a man convicted of murder for defending himself after he was prosecuted by an out-of-control Austin DA who was funded by anti-American billionaire George Soros.

In July of 2020, off duty solder, Sgt. Daniel Perry was driving through Austin Texas when he ran smack dab up against an Antifa protest purporting to protest over George Floyd’s death in police custody. Eventually a criminal member of Antifa accosted Perry and pointed an AK47 at him. Perry scrambled to defend himself and fired a shot of his own that killed the protester.

A year later, Soros-backed District Attorney Jose Garza filed murder charges against Perry. And this year he was convicted of murder, NBC News reported.

But Gov. Abbott says that Perry should have been covered by the Texas Stand Your Ground law.

After the verdict, Abbott jumped to Twitter to note that he is moving as quickly as the law will allow to pardon Sgt. Perry.

“Unlike the President or some other states, the Texas Constitution limits the Governor’s pardon authority to only act on a recommendation by the Board of Pardons and Paroles,” Abbott wrote. “Texas law DOES allow the Governor to request the Board of Pardons and Paroles to determine if a person should be granted a pardon. I have made that request and instructed the Board to expedite its review,” Abbott wrote.

“I look forward to approving the Board’s pardon recommendation as soon as it hits my desk,” he added.

According to detractors of Garza, the DA neglected to present the evidence to the Grand Jury that showed the dead protester aiming his gun at Perry.
