By Wes Walker,
With Joe Biden already on his second vacation this month, it’s clear he will not spend much time campaigning for his re-election.
In 2020, the excuse of pandemic shutdowns allowed him to let George Floyd protests, big tech, and corporate media do the heavy lifting for him. He could ‘campaign’ from his basement and coast to victory.
But that was then. What’s his excuse going to be now that the pandemic’s over? What happens if he starts visiting places and the world gets to see up close and personal just how much contempt he has for the ‘little people’ he pretends to champion?
Luckily, he won’t have to worry about trifling problems like that. Because — just in time for the first round of GOP debates — we are seeing reports of a resurgence of the same disease the media leveraged to drag his shambling carcass into the White House.
And the COVIDictators are picking up right where they left off. Indeed the timing is a coincidence, right?
Signals had been quietly sent to expect a new variant of COVID, and all the same fear signals were being triggered. Worse, many of us have already been conditioned to accept these arbitrary restrictions… and evidence disputing mask efficacy has been quietly and conveniently forgotten or discarded.
Officially, the pandemic is behind us. (Otherwise, how could Joe claim a victory over it?)
Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released its most relaxed COVID guidelines since the pandemic began, reporting that the COVID-19 public health emergency is over. Across New Jersey, nearly all school districts have dropped all indoor mask requirements.
Nationally, the American College Health Association said 61% of all campuses recommend students receive a vaccine. Only about 18% of the 300 schools surveyed require students to be vaccinated. — Yahoo
But concerns are being drummed up about a ‘resurgence’ or a new breakout variant. This lets Joe have his cake and eat it too. He can claim a victory while his allies invoke the fear he needs to drive a crisis that (how convenient!) only Big Government can solve.
Here are some examples of the fear machine cranking up:
The email was delivered by Sommer McElroy, Response Manager for Lionsgate/Starz.
“Employees must wear a medical grade face covering (surgical mask, KN95 or N95) when indoors except when alone in an office with the door closed, actively eating, actively drinking at their desk or workstation, or if they are the only individual present in a large open workspace,” McElroy said in the memo, first reported by Deadline.
The mandate will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
As well as this, every Lionsgate employee is required to complete a self-screening test ahead of arriving at the office. Staff returning from international travel in the last 10 days must work from home. — Yahoo
New York hospitals are bringing back mandates:
Upstate Medical’s two hospitals, University, and Community General, reimposed mandatory face-masking Thursday morning after reporting an uptick in Covid-19 cases.
Covid testing is now also required for all patients being admitted to the hospitals, according to a memo sent to Upstate staff and provided to Syracuse.com.
“Effective immediately, mandatory masking is required by all staff, visitors, and patients in clinical areas of Upstate University Hospital, Upstate Community Hospital, and ambulatory clinical spaces,” the memo reads. “Clinical areas are defined as any location patients gather, wait, transport through, or receive care. Masking is strongly recommended in all non-clinical areas.” — MSN
We’ve got a school in Atlanta joining the panic:
A week after classes began, Morris Brown College is once again requiring students and employees to wear face masks on campus.
The small, private Atlanta college announced the mask mandate Sunday in a letter to faculty, staff and students, saying the requirement and other COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place for two weeks. The college cited “reports of positive cases among students in the Atlanta University Center” as the reason for the decision. — Bozeman Daily
Allowing ourselves to be driven by fear was a mistake then…, and it would be an even bigger mistake not to have learned that lesson by now.
If you know someone who hasn’t yet figured out that the fear was a tool being used against us rather than a genuine effort to keep people healthy and safe, get this book in their hands before we start another round of it.
And if they are a church leader? Get it to them yesterday because much of the church failed this test last time. We can’t afford to fail it twice.
